Pete draws on over 20 years’ experience in coaching and behaviour change, leading innovation across the public and private sectors in the UK and New Zealand. Known for his thoughtful, people-focused approach, he’s also a keen waterman who values his connection to nature and enjoys sharing it with others.

Zaria's key to her successful project outcomes is to always put the customer first. When not zooming around on the electric scooter inspecting our footpaths, drafting contract documents, or managing contracts, she’s likely to have her nose stuck in a book; she’s an engine that never stops!

Senthooran is a seasoned project manager whose steady, inspiring leadership keeps the team united like a magnet. Always up for a good coffee, he fosters trust, clarity, and camaraderie. His guidance turns challenges into opportunities, ensuring every project is delivered with harmony, precision, and a shared sense of purpose.

If experience and knowledge about civil and structural engineering could be summarised in one word, it would be John. With over 50 years in the industry, John keeps extending his career in new, exciting projects, and takes off skiing whenever he gets the chance.

Our civil engineer with extensive experience in design, coordination, and construction supervision across diverse building types. His expertise also includes design coordination and value engineering for geotechnical and civil structures. With a comprehensive understanding of these aspects, he offers valuable insights and solutions for a wide range of architectural projects.

Rajeeth's training and work experience have taken him all around the world from Sri Lanka to Norway and Singapore. Rajeeth has a wide range of technical capabilities and is a strategic thinker and someone who always puts the team first.​

A quiet and dilligent worker, Dilsha is a geotechnical expert. Being a mum might bring it's challenges, so having a flexible working life helps with this. Dilsha and her family love and have embraced the Gissy lifestyle.

The CAD guru at Civil Assist, Thomas is a master of computers and IT software. A predominantly self-taught problem-solver with the patience of a saint. Thomas is a perfect example of young talent finding his place in an area that he is passionate about.

The calm, cool and collected Captain of the Civil Assist Team, Andrew has a strong focus on the environment and doing what is right. Andrew’s goal is to make a real difference, this is what drives him.

Sam is a biodiversity strategist with over a decade of experience in conservation and policy. As GM of Tairāwhiti Environment Centre, she helps businesses take action for nature and co-chairs the Eastern Whio Link. When not working for nature, she’s out in nature—surfing, hiking, or exploring the East Coast with her dog.

Bianca brings an optimistic outlook to the team at Civil Assist, with a sensitive eye to detail. When she is not looking for ways to make the paperwork of projects more efficient, she will be found for a quick coffee break looking over the water outside the office. With great passion she will get the work done.

A structures guru, excels in building and design, offering innovative solutions. He's also a vibrant socialite who enjoys hosting parties and uniting people. His sociable and dedicated nature ensures that he's a lively presence in both work and social settings, infusing every moment with excitement and unforgettable experiences.

Tharsuthan is a seasoned civil design expert with a diverse portfolio of innovative and efficient projects. His passion for design extends beyond his —he’s a keen cyclist whose drive for excellence fuels both his work and his pursuit of a healthier, more sustainable future.

Nirmali is a highly skilled geotechnical specialist with deep expertise in soil behavior, foundation design, and site analysis. Known for her meticulous approach and problem-solving mindset, she delivers precise, practical solutions. Her lively giggles brighten the room, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere that elevates every project she’s part of.

Be it a desk job or getting out on site, Sterin does it all to perfection. His 8+ years of experience in diverse but relatable fields is a great asset to the team. No matter the stress of the day you'll find him at the badminton court every day after work!
